People Serving People
People Serving People
This is a conceptual redesign of some basic identity elements for a shelter in Minneapolis. People Serving People is the largest and most comprehensive shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Minnesota. I have been lucky to volunteer as a tutor with grades K-5 for two years on a weekly basis. There are many working components to this shelter and I wanted the logo to reflect elements coming together to form a whole, as well as the idea of lives being built back together so families can thrive.
I chose bright colors to represent moving up and forward, and also to reflect the positive outcomes parents and children experience from their time spent at the shelter. The color scheme is offset by a clean and uncluttered design for their web and mobile sites, making it easy to navigate. I also created a set of icons to be used for web and mobile so guests, friends and family of the shelter can easily navigate the programs provided by the shelter.
